The key partners of Spatula Media + Communications are Alison Love and David McIlvride. Alison has more than 20 years working in marketing – primarily in the shopping centre industry. David has logged more than 30 years in the film and television industry.
For the past 15 years, they’ve concentrated on working with some of the world’s most respected broadcasters including CTV, Travel Channel, National Geographic (US), Channel 4 in the UK and the Discovery Channel in Canada and the U.S.
They’ve produced award-winning programs that have inspired, entertained and informed large audiences the world over. More than that … they’ve become known as “go to” producers earning the reputation of “getting it done – on time, on budget and with no hassle.”
They’ve also racked up an impressive list of awards in both the marketing and television industry.
Alison has won over 20 major national and international shopping centre marketing & advertising awards and was recognized as one of the Top 5 Marketers in Vancouver in the ‘90s. David has 2 Gemini’s (the best of Canadian broadcast television), an Emmy (the best of US broadcast television) and both David and Alison share a GLAAD Award (which is the award given to media by the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) as well as many international “Best Documentary” awards for their latest documentary, “Sledhead” which featured Canada’s Paralympic Sledge Hockey team on their road to the 2010 Paralympics in Vancouver.
Recently, Alison has put her talents and ‘web savvy’ into play using social media while building awareness for her clients. She can be found on twitter and facebook, tweeting, updating and keeping her clients’ names and events in front of a burgeoning network of friends, business contacts and media.
Spatula Media + Communications focuses primarily on the food and wine industry. We love chefs, winemakers, farmers and anyone who struggles to make “a go” in this highly competitive business. They are all artists.
